Introducing Remote Health Monitoring through Athelas!

At Mountain View Behavioral Health, we care about your overall health. We are excited to announce we are partnering with a company called Athelas to provide you with cutting-edge care. The Athelas program will provide you with tools to monitor your vitals at home (ex. blood pressure, glucose, weight), which will be reported back to your provider and used to ensure that health is on track. Athelas will ship you personal devices and train you on how to use them. Device(s) may include blood pressure cuff, weight scale, glucose monitor, or a combination of all three, as indicated by our practice. Athelas will send you a text message monthly, reminding you to test and all results will be securely sent to your provider for review. This allows us to keep an eye on your physical health, even while remote. These services are covered by insurance, and Athelas performs an eligibility check prior to enrolling.

WHY WAS I SELECTED FOR THIS PROGRAM?
To provide better care for you, Mountain View Behavioral Health is partnering with Athelas to provide you a type of telehealth service called Remote Patient Monitoring. With Athelas, you and your provider can monitor your vitals from the comfort of your home. This allows your provider to take an active role in your care even when you’re not in our office.

DOES THIS COST MONEY?
Athelas has already pre-screened your insurance information to ensure that your insurance covers this program.

HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
Athelas only requests one result reading per month and will send an automated reminder if 30 days have passed since the last result reading. When you test, a registered nurse will review your vitals to monitor for any anomalies. You can even earn rewards and review your results at patient.athelas.com.

HOW DO I SET UP THE DEVICE?
All devices – including blood pressure monitors, weight scales, glucometers, are SIM connected and require no activation. They automatically transmit results once testing is completed. The device is user-specific, meaning the device mailed to you should only be used by you. Please do not share your device with any other users to prevent misreadings.
